Highlights include:
Neighbourhood Plan.
Discussed that as NP is due to go to referendum May/June that the delivery mechanism needs to be developed. PA and DJ proposal is that CSG pursues clearly defined sustainability items but is waiting direction from NP Steering Group. Likely dedicate May/June meeting to Sustainability NP issues.
Eco-schools: 7 schools with Green Flags in Congleton & District Eco cluster.
CONGRATULATIONS Jan 2019 6th GF awarded to Marlfields
2019 schedule: The Quinta (27 Jan, 4th GF), Scholar Green (8 Feb, 4th GF), Mossley (Jun, 5th GF). Now defaulted to silver: due in 2017 Marton 1 Oct (3rd GF), Black Firs (16 Nov, 5th GF). Buglawton July 2018. Havannah, Astbury, Bosley, Daven have also lapsed to silver, but working on GF topics, W. Well, EBA, CHS on silver. 2020 Saint Mary’s & Smallwood (6th GF) GF Renewal form now easier to complete, new website & lots of new resources from 1 Oct 2018 (KBT eco-schools).
Working on Saint Mary’s Catholic Primary Eco (Biodiversity – birdwatching for RSPB big schools birdwatch campaign; school grounds, growing potatoes, school garden, fairtrade, global goals).
Next Meeting:- Mon 1st April 2019, Astbury Mere Visitors Centre, 10 am.
