The University of Manchester.

Diane reported an opportunity for someone to come from the research department to come and talk to us a bout work they are doing around recognising dementia in people. It was agreed to invite someone along to talk to us at our January meeting.

The Rare Dementia Group from Salford may also be worth having along to speak to us, Chris to make contact with them.

Cheshire East Dementia Strategy Group.

Diane advised the group that Cheshire East, through Val Burlison and Jo Cliffe are working with various groups and individuals to work on developing a dementia strategy for Cheshire East as a whole. A steering group is being set upon which we will be playing a part.  This appears to have stalled a little at the moment.

A survey will be circulated to get views, Diane to visited  Kath Reader at Alsager to see what they are doing and a subgroup involving Alsager, Sandbach, Congleton and Poynton is being set up.

The new autumn leaflet was produced in time for The Community Wellbeing Fayre 1st October.

This edition included a list of the businesses that were awarded their working towards becoming dementia-friendly.

Sarah and Anna would like to hear of any Xmas Community Events so that they can list them on their activity report.

Margaret at Bromley Farm is desperate for some new volunteer, please raise this with anyone you feel may be able to help. Diane could also do with some more support at Wild and Wild game mornings.
